I continue to be fascinated by the lack of good guidance on the web covering the subject of expressing gratitude to donors.  Especially odd, given that it seems to be “common knowledge” that not getting thanked is at the top of the list of things that bug donors.  There is some data (see link below) suggesting that prompt thank-yous drive up repeat giving.
Whether it’s number 1 or number 8, it’s cheap and smart to go overboard on giving thanks.
