Leadership done best is an inside-out proposition.

If you’re wrestling with impostor syndrome, or feelings that you have an image to protect, or a fear that if your team sees you anxious they’ll lose respect for you, you’re like a car with the gas and the brake on at the same time.

Self-compassion is perhaps better termed ‘inner compassion.’ It’s a trainable art that can not only make you happier. It can make you more attentive to the needs of others, more resilient and more present.

This is a time for self-compassion.
