Everybody’s got choices.

Go out. Stay in.
Get up. Sleep in.
Cook in. Take out.

Mark just wrote a post about the staggering drop in giving by individuals. Fundraisers have a choice. Do more of the same expecting the same result. Or do something different.

I encourage you to read Mark’s post and reflect on what you think is leading to the current lackluster state of giving. What can you do differently as a fundraiser to change this outlook?

Change starts by making the choice to do something new and taking the first step. I don’t believe there’s a magic solution. But I do think we can start building back trust with donors — one relationship at a time.
